One of the many equipment authors can use when they write short testimonies is persona development. One such author that creates two contrasting however comparable characters in his stories is Robert Carver. Inside the short tale " Cathedral" by Raymond Carver, we see three primary characters. The characters range from the blind person, Robert, the blind mans friend, the wife, and her spouse. Throughout the account Carver sets up Robert, the blind man, and her friend's spouse to be in comparison in a variety of ways, although he handles to bring them together towards the end.
The story starts out with us getting a little background information regarding the history between Robert and the wife.
